Lily Allen the New Face For Chanel Handbags

Hey, now it is time to fresh your eyes on Chanel girls. British pop star Lily Allen is the newest face of Chanel Handbags. Her face is set to appear on Chanel's autumn/winter '09 accessories collection.

Designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld has personally picked Allen to front the new campaign, it has been revealed. The famous Chanel designer is expected to begin the photo shoot with the singer in London next week.

Allen, 24 is often photographed with one of her many Chanel designed handbags. She was also recently spotted in the front row seat a Paris Fashion Week show after which she was even seen partying with Kate Moss and Lagerfeld himself

Lagerfeld admits that the reason he went for Lily is her fun attitude, reports WWD.com. "She's fun," the Website quoted the fashion icon as describing Lily.

Lily Allen was born in Hammersmith, London, to Keith Allen (Welsh comedian, actor, singer and songwriter) and film producer Alison Owen. She and her family eventually settled in the North London borough of Islington. Allen dropped out of school at 15 after appearing as a lady-in-waiting in the 1998 film Elizabeth, produced by her mother, and she met her first manager, George Lamb, when he saved her from several ailants. However she was rejected by several labels, which she attributed to her drinking and being the daughter of Keith Allen. She eventually used her father's connections to get signed to Warner Music in 2002, but when the executive who had signed her left, the label lost interest and she left without releasing the folk songs they had presented her. Allen rose to fame after creating an account on MySpace, where she began posting demos in November 2005.
